Welcome to the May 2024 Newsletter.

Greetings from Lifekidz,

The year is flashing by very fast, and it only seemed like yesterday that we had the summer holidays. It’s May, but other than a few chilly days we are still enjoying plenty of sunshine here in Auckland and our children are still loving lots of outdoor activities. The April school holidays saw a full house with both the Day Program and the younger primary aged children all on site and having a ball. Activities included a visit from the Highland Park Fire Brigade who allowed time for everyone to climb into the cab and check out the workings of a real fire engine. Thanks guys, this brought so much excitement and joy. We had a magician with a real-life rabbit on two occasions and live music from 2 wonderful young women who played fiddles and had everyone dancing.  This term we have embarked on a drumming workshop for the Day Program, this has been a real eye opener, in terms of concentration and participation, everyone has joined in and loved it. Friday is Special Lunch Day at Lifekidz, the Day Program participants cook a meal and they all eat it together. Homemade sushi and pizzas to name a few.

Tomorrow we are all off to Butterfly creek and the place is buzzing with anticipation.
